What Is Love
One of you heauxes trying to push me into a relationship and I want to say why you are doing all that. Like do you know what I want like seriously? Pisces season has been one hell of a roller coaster and let me tell you we went from the revealing of the past and now falling into some dreamy state of love. So, I ask again what is the meaning of love to you? For those of you that be out here doing love spells and setting intentions for them did you that love can come in many ways. And in most cases, it might not be the love you think your supposed to be with like a more interpersonal relationship.
It’s funny when we talk about love because like many, we have our types and preferences of what we think is best for us and Divine has a way of showing us that what we think is for us really won’t be for us. And that’s the harshest reality that some come to and decide to give up on love. In the old cliché saying your type might be the reason you’re single.
It took me a minute to get this my damn self because baby if your ass wasn’t black as tar it wasn’t nothing we could do. And then it hit me that if Divine put me in a relationship with some that was light skin would you really give up on love because it ain’t your physical preference.
Before my Instagram got hacked into by this weirdo as dude. I followed this guy that said he didn’t have much of a preference, but the fact he was a fitness junkie he wouldn’t mind dating a plus size girl only if she is willing to lose wight. He explained it wasn’t like he wouldn’t accept her, but he was like because of the lifestyle preference and that fact he like to workout it would be a problem with him. Baby them comments ate his ass up until he explained.
Because like many people of society they think skinny is healthy and its truly not. Now there is a difference with getting out of shape and some deciding to stay in their skin that’s cool. He’ll I too am I chubby chaser girl I used to love that lil fat black chubby, tall, and smelling good ass nigga. Yes, that was my thing girl, but I grew up and started to date to get to know people.
Because in dating we rarely date people for the experience of them. Because after elementary, junior high, high school, and college the human experience seems to die off. Because we rarely have human contact with people who are different from us. It’s like the older you get you just want to be around people you are comfortable with and those you like. Which is perfectly fine, but for a person who is trying to grow and expand in life I find it quite challenging when a person isn’t willing to accept other people for who they are.
Now I’m not saying go off and date an emotional terrorist, people who violate your boundaries, those who are disrespectful, manipulators, and con artist. But how will you know if you aren’t exposed to these types of being before you go off and date the right people. Because if you never had any encounter with beings like this, they somehow will find a way to maneuver themselves in your life when you get older and cause more problems to heal from. Whether it be platonically, interpersonal, or business.
The older you get shaking back from emotional turmoil ain’t easy as it was when you were younger. Because you could just find ways to get over shit so easy or easily find yourself getting lost into different ways to hide parts of you. That when you got older and started to heal you find yourself hitting emotional blocks because its certain things you told yourself that was okay that wasn’t okay. Right, right.
We 2 pages in and you’re probably thinking to yourself well what is love Marshae? For me or for you because that is for you to come to terms with your own definition of love. But to me love is a universal law or concept. It is the way we perceive life, they way we treat others and ourselves, and the way we embrace others. Love to me isn’t a thing its many things because it can be money, a car, house, person, lust, attraction, knowledge, or wealth.
Love is the meaning behind many people drive that they will or will not tell you. Humans are truly craft I tell you that but love to me is something we fight for each day. Whether we know it consciously or unconsciously. So, the next time you find yourself on a quest for love make sure you aren’t looking for you in someone else because when you get it, you’ll no longer appreciate them. Remember love is a foreign entity that many of this lifetime hasn’t master or grasp.
